Founder’s Biography
Tristen Connor founded Theory In Practice (TIP) Acoustics in 2019 after providing acoustical consulting and engineering services for over 12 years. Tristen developed her passion for acoustics early while playing piano and trumpet in a variety of ensembles. Upon discovering the discipline of architectural and building acoustics, she decided to pursue a degree which combined her passion for acoustics with her love of science. Tristen earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s of Acoustical Engineering at the Institute of Sound & Vibration Research at the University of Southampton in Southampton, UK.
Tristen has acoustical design experience in all vertical markets of the AEC industry. She has provided acoustical design services on over 500 projects for more than 300 clients throughout the US and the UK.
Tristen’s education, design experience, and professional certifications qualify her and the TIP Acoustics team to provide acoustical services for all of your project needs.
